The Cass County Genealogical Society will meet at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 11, 2014, in the Family Life Center of the First United Methodist Church, Second Street, Queen City, Texas. CCGS member, Charlotte Evans, will be speaking on her Varco family who came from England to Canada and then to Minnesota. Mrs. Evans will share her research on how she found her Revoluntionary Soldier, including some history on Minnesota.

John Tom Knox, age 64, of Atlanta, Texas, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, February 27, 2014.
John Tom was born August 16, 1949, in Augusta, Georgia, to Jonathan and Mildred Knox. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Queen City, Texas; loved spending time with family, going to church, bowling and the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his father, Jonathan Knox.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred Knox of Atlanta, Texas; a brother, Mike Knox and wife Lori of Atlanta, Texas; a sister, Pam Moser and husband David of Red Oak, Texas; two nephews, Samuel Knox, Joshua Moser; a niece, Amanda Spencer; and a number of other relatives.
