New Rabbit Coach and AD Announced

Tyler Morton is assuming the job of Athletic Director and Head Football Coach at Atlanta ISD. Morton is currently the Defensive Coordinator at Arkansas High School in Texarkana, AR and has also taught and coached at Texas High and Greene County, AR schools. A graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, Morton played both offense and defense during his college career as fullback and linebacker and played in two NCAA Division II playoff games.
Morton said,” Coaching and teaching is my calling or ministry. I have a passion to help young people set and achieve their goals in the classroom and on the field through hard work and perseverance. You will not find a more loyal, hardworking, and passionate coach than myself. I want to make an impact on the daily lives of kids.”
Morton has been married to his wife, Sarah, for 10 years and has two daughters, Annabelle (8) and Maggie (5). They currently live in Texarkana, TX and plan on moving to Atlanta in the near future.
AISD Superintendent Sidney Harrist said, “Tyler Morton represents a role model for our students. He has high moral standards, excellent character, and a very strong work ethic. He will be an excellent addition to the Atlanta Rabbit family.”
Morton will officially begin his duties in AISD on Monday, January 24, 2022.
