Early Voting Info

Early voting for the March 1st Primary Election will be held February 14 – 18 and February 22-25, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Early Voting locations are in Linden at the Voting Building, 227 E Rush St and in Atlanta at the North East Texas Property Management Building (old Horne Enterprise), 101 E Pinecrest Drive.
This is a primary election, meaning you must indicate which party you want to vote for. There are no local Democratic races. The Republican ballot contains 10 propositions. These are non binding, meaning they do not create any laws. These propositions are a means to poll voters on possible legislation and to find out where voters stand on certain issues.
Those who are 65 and older, disabled or will be out of the county during early voting and on Election Day can request a ballot by mail. Senate Bill 1 made several changes to the Applications to vote by mail. If you request a ballot by mail, please read the application carefully and be sure to complete each section so that your application is not rejected. You can only request a ballot for yourself, you cannot request a ballot for your spouse, parent, sibling, child, etc., nor can a caretaker request a ballot for a voter. You can call our office at 903 756 5071 and request that we send you an application or you can print one here:
We DO NOT send applications for ballots unless we are requested to do so. Both the Republican and Democratic parties as well as some state and federal candidates and political organizations will automatically send applications to voters who are 65 and older. If you receive one of these applications, please read them carefully and make sure they are from the party that you want to vote for. Many times we receive calls from voters saying we sent them the wrong ballot, when in fact we sent the ballot they requested because they did not read the application they received from the candidate/party/organization.
