She leaves to cherish her memories, her loving children, Pam Boyce (Prince), Karen Casteel all of Atlanta, Sonja Velasquez (Frank) and Kelli Casteel of Manor, Chris Casteel (Habiba) of Wake Village, son-in-law, Phillip Terry; sisters, Dorothy Nickleberry and Edna Nickleberry of Marietta; brother, Wiley Scott (Anette) of Virginia; six delightful grandchildren, Jeremy Boyce (Katie), Kabrelyn Boyce, Tyla Casteel, Caitlin Casteel, Noah Velasquez, Jordyn Casteel; three great-grandchildren, Jordayne Skidmore Boyce, Aiden Boyce and Kyson Boyce, and sisters-in-law, Jewel Blaylock, Vannie Pearl Scott and Ruth Casteel, and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She also leaves a lasting legacy to all those who called her “Mama Lou”, and her Lydia Sunday School Class.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Casteel and daughter, Stephanie Casteel.
Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 28, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Atlanta under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service.
Visitation will be 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Hanner Funeral Service.
Interment will be in Pine Crest Cemetery.
