Hellen Nichols,Obit

Hellen Nichols, age 77, went to be with the Lord, Sunday, February 12, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born December 30, 1945 in Queen City, Texas to Boss B. and Iva Mae Benefield. Hellen was a member of First Baptist Church, Queen City and enjoyed being outside. She was very particular about her yard and enjoyed helping J.W. work on his equipment, and fishing, but her real joy was her family.

Hellen was preceded in death by her son, Kelvin Nichols; daughter, Linda Messer; sisters, Maggie Prestridge, Beatrice Jester; and her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, J.W. Nichols of Queen City, Texas; daughter, Brenda Richards of Queen City, Texas; sisters, Louise Savage and husband Ronnie of Queen City, Texas, Earlene Jennings of Shreveport, Louisiana; six grandchildren, Kaci Johnson and husband Matt, Laci Page and husband Jimmie, Jonathan Richards, Lindsey Underwood and husband Trent, Jessica Barnett, Emily Simmons and husband Landon; two great grandchildren, Brantley Jones, Ellie Johnson; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at Hanner Funeral Service.

Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at First Baptist Church, Queen City, under the direction of Hanner Funeral Service, with Bro. Mike Lovely officiating.

Interment will be in Springdale Cemetery.
